Matters arising from the minutes

5.1

Karbon walkaround allowed BPC to raise several issues. Lack of parking; Karbon are to forward options for new landscaping at Reenes Way. Information was shared about how the housing list works and how that relates to local families having the first refusal of the new development. 

5.2

During a walkaround with the police BPC shared reports of drug use and underage drinking. Vandalism, especially at Jubilee Park, was discussed as was Parking and Speeding.

5.3

An appeal to Northumberland Estates to reconsider the rent rise for the toilet block has been successful and it will now be £50pa.

In order to continue to provide a accessible service to parishioners, it was agreed to upgrade the website to make it safer and more compatible with mobile devices.

An investigation will be made into this report.

Pilgrim Prayer Journey

A Christian pilgrimage will stop to worship in Bellingham on March 8th. Meeting at 2 pm at St Oswald’s church hall and finishing at 4 pm the event may include some prayer walking in and around the village. RSVP is invited to  russelldick179@gmail.com or 07910429142.

Cllr Armstrong received complaints from residents along Boat Road who are seeing damage caused by vibrations arising from the work by Northumbrian Water. Clerk to raise with NW.

A discrepancy has emerged about the time of the coming road closure. Clerk has raised with NCC to be addressed.
